Mix and Stir!

Developing life-enhancing competencies through new learning tools

The contemporary social situation is characterized by uncertainty and unpredictability, significantly influencing changes in many areas of human existence. The COVID19 pandemic is having an impact on the way societies function.Analyzes and research indicate many negative effects of the pandemic, such as the economic slowdown, limitation of production and consumption, but also limitations in social and social activity, resulting in health problems.

Meanwhile there is a noticeable increase in the development of the digital economy and digital services, as well as the use of digital solutions to an increasing extent in many spheres of everyday life. At the same time, trends related to the aging of societies continue and deepen.

The aim of the Mix & Stir created partnership is cooperation for the development and implementation of innovative practices in the field of non-professional adult education at the organizational, local and regional level, using the above-described trends and changes.

The main goal of the project is to create, within the framework of transnational cooperation, within 18 months of the project implementation, educational tools widely available and attractive on many levels, tailored to the needs of people of different age groups.

The specific objectives of the activities undertaken are for all organizations to improve the quality of work, activities and practices, and to meet common needs and priorities in the field of education. Another goal of the partnership, especially important from the point of view of STAWIL, is building the capacity of the organization in the field of international work.

The innovation of the idea consists in:

  • participation of people from the target group in the development of an educational tool – active participation of people from groups and areas with difficult access to education, positively influencing their self-esteem and the possibility of disseminating the tool in the areas where these people come from (interest of local communities and trust associated with engaging “their” people to develop a tool);
  • creating an educational culinary e-book and educational films – engaging people from the target group, influencing the credibility and usefulness of the educational tool, weaving intercultural elements on the one hand, promoting cultural diversity and, on the other hand, strengthening tolerance for other cultures / customs; stimulating curiosity among the elderly influencing the effectiveness of education.
